What is the Sugarplum Sampler?

The Sugarplum Sampler is an annual Christmas outreach for women in the community hosted by the women of NEBC. The Sampler began 15 years ago when 5 women put together a unique evening of crafts for about 50 guests. We have grown over the years from 50 to 800-900 attendees and our volunteer base has grown from 5 to 100! The Sugarplum Sampler is the largest outreach of NEBC, and women from many regional churches use this event to invite other women to hear the Christmas message!

What makes our Sampler different from the many other church-type fairs that appear each fall? We give…nothing is sold at the Sampler. It is designed to teach crafts, but that is just a part of what goes on! We offer a sampling of craft demonstrations with how to booklets, Christmas music, gourmet refreshments, a Christmas story, and our Signature Cookies to take home! Not only do all who attend come away with wonderful, new craft ideas for Christmas, they also leave with their hearts stirred and challenged with the true meaning of Christmas.
